Karen's interests in exploring different cultures and her natural curiosity about people have etched an interesting path that has led her to life coaching. Her own unique life experiences included the many challenges of being an ex-pat in both France and Hong Kong, becoming a single parent, and eventually forming a modern blended multicultural family.  The fact that she is a genuine “people person” has contributed to making Karen a compassionate, curious and intuitive Life Coach.  As a coach, Karen encourages her clients to expand their creativity, deepen their learning, move beyond their self-limiting beliefs, and embrace their true potential. Using her positivity and humor, Karen puts people at ease and creates a safe space where change and growth can occur.

Karen's passion lies in working with teenagers and young adults. She raised her teenager daughter on her own and was always the "come to mom" for the neighborhood kids. She now has the joy of having a teenage step-son and is in constant awe of their wisdom and sincerity. Karen understands that today's teens and young adults are dealing with a great deal of stress. In a non judgmental and loving setting, Karen puts her young clients at ease, helps them identify their strength, discover who they are and what they want to achieve.

After receiving a BA from UCSB in Liberal Arts, she started her adventure in Paris where she spent the next 22 years.  Karen has worked extensively in the film and non-profit industries such as with ATD Quart Monde where she ran workshops benefiting underprivileged, at-risk children and helped programming for The International Film Festival Against Exclusion and For Tolerance. Karen's many personal and professional experiences have greatly contributed to her fascination and celebration of everyone's unique and wonderful story.  Karen also lived 7 years in Hong Kong where she worked with both local and “third culture kids”. Karen is now based between Los Angeles and Paris. She coaches face-to-face, via Skype, and telephone in both English and French.

Karen is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), as well as a Teen Wisdom™Inc. Graduate. She also holds the designation of Associate Certified Coach (ACC) from the International Coach Federation. Trained in MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction), Karen also uses relaxation, breathing and meditation techniques.

Karen is the co-founder of THE WILD HEART PROJECT, workshops for teens and parents.
